Hi All,
I am tracing back from Edith Annie Turner, B:15/04/1880 at North Street, Pinxton, Derbyshire. Her parents names were Thomas TURNER and Ellen TURNER formerly GREEN.
However, I can't seem to find any further information on the two, I can't find marriage records, which would I presume then lead me to births and likewise I cannot seem to find any death registrations.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong as I have made good progress to date.?!?!
Any assistance would be muchly appreciated
Many thanks :)

How about this one?
Marriages Sep 1879
GREEN Ellen Basford 7b 213
GREEN Thomas Basford 7b 213
Turner Matilda Basford 7b 213
Turner Thomas Basford 7b 213
Looks as if it could have been a brother and sister marrying a brother and sister. ;D

Could this be your Turner family?

1881 census was taken on 3rd April so just before Edith Annie's first birthday, so that maybe why she is down as being born 1881.

John Turner, father, age 53, coal miner, born Bulwell, Nottinghamshire
Elizabeth Turner, age 55, born Selston, Nottinghamshire, England.
Can you see this family in 1861 or 1871 to see if they had a daughter Matilda?

1871 Census has John and Elizabeth Turner living at Common Side, Selston, Basford, Nottinghamshire. With them are: Matilda Turner born 1861, Fanny born 1858 and Mary born 1854, all daughters and born Nottinghamshire.
Also with then is Ann Wood, mother in law born 1785 Nottinghamshire

Same family in 1861, still with Ann Wood. So it does look a good possibility that the marriage is correct.
