Hi I am trying to find the marriage of Charles Daniel Boulton. He was born in 1896 Cheltenham Gloucestershire UK. I notice that on the 1940 census (Miami, Dade, Florida)
he has a wife called Nora and a daughter called (*). Unfortunately, I am unable to see this information.
I would really appreciate your help.

Charles' petition for naturalization says they were married 4 Jun. 1927 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. His wife was listed as Nora Hattie, born 10 Dec. 1898 in Perth Amboy.

There is an article in the Miami News - 9 April 1939 - under the heading Unique Structure At Beach Is Sold.
Near 12 th Street on Ocean Drive Miami Beach stand this structure, (picture shown) unique in construction and historically interesting . During the week the apartment building which is known as Casa Casuarina, passed into the possession of Jac Amsterdam , who will remodel the place and rename it. Amsterdam Palace Apartments was sold by Charles D and Nora Boulton.

Metro police Detective Barry Savage and two neighbours of the Boultons knocked down a locked door to get Mrs Boulton out of the house at 5959 SW 28th Street. Oh my goodness, thank you So much you have both been busy whilst I have been away.
Sandra thank you for the link of John - brother of Charles. My sister Frankie was researching our family but unfortunately she is no longer able to. I've now taken over her research.
What a story that has unfolded. Who would have thought that something soooo exciting has come to light.

I am doing research on the Miami Beach house that Charles Boulton owned 1930-1937. He was landscape architect for two properties in Santa Barbara, California - Montarioso and Silwan Gardens during the period 1926-1930, before moving to Miami Beach in 1930. Other than that, I have very little information on him except for what I learned in your chat. I wondered if you have more information (and photos?) from his life in England (and Miami). Thank you.
