Hello
I am searching for the marriage between Edward Coles and Elizabeth.
Their son William Coles (My 4x G Grandfather) was baptised 21st Oct 1760 at March, Cambridgeshire. William was buried there in 1836 age 76 and that is why i think he was the son of Edward & Elizabeth.
I have found on Family Search two families with parents named Edward & Elizabeth in Thorney, Cambridgeshire and Farcet, Huntingdonshire :
The Thorney couple had a son named William Cole baptised 1773 so that rules them out.
The Farcet couple did not have a son named William born c1760 so that rules them out as well.

Hi Ravelin,
I have been ferreting around online and also in the record office. Along with your finds I cannot add anything useful, as far as I can see at the moment there is no marriage available. I have tried different spellings of the name, still nothing.

They may of married in another area of the country ?.

That is always possible, but there is such a concentration of Coles in that area especially Doddington just south of March.
I will keep trying, re Cambridgeshire, if I come up with anything I will let you know.

Yes my William Coles was of Doddington for his marriage to Mary Skeggs in 1785 at March, Cambridgeshire.
