Charles arrived in Port Adelaide 4 April 1914. He enlisted in AIF October 1917 and returned to Australia May 1919.
Charles b: 1893 Sweden, naturalised November 1942 marrying Annie Marie HARPER nee SAYER/S the same year. He died 24 August 1955 Mortlake, NSW.
Awaiting Annie's D/C for further information, the SMH D/N gave the correct children. She arrived Queensland 1913 from London married to Thomas Henry HARPER. A son named Charles Joseph b: 1913 Queensland and Betty May b: 1926 Sydney which is my friend's line.
Betty was told her mother died in/after childbirth and became a State ward.
Searched all Australian bdms along with Ryerson Index not finding Charles Joseph.

Charles's DC may hold more information for you. His parents listed are Alfred and Matilda and the registration number is 17856/1955.
IF I have the right Annie HARPER she was born 1904 at Randwick Sydney and was the twin of Robert. They were two of seven children to Charles and Frances E HARPER born between 1901 and 1909.

Karl Johan b. 3 Feb 1893 in Stockholm
Alfreda Matilda b. 13 Dec 1898 in Stockholm
He was born out of wedlock. The father's name is not listed but is listed as the father of his sister.
If you have his date of birth we would then know if this man is your man.

His ww1 record confirms the birthdate of 3/2/1893.
His wife Ester was living first in Stockholm at the time of his enlistment, but this is amended to an address at Chippendale Sydney.

Just to clear up the father..... the minister had noted on the wedding record that Johan Alfred was the father as they got married 26 Dec 1893.
