Looking for more info on Malcolm- he married Emma Chambers in Essex April 1899- Father -Roderick- deceased
Can anyone tell me more about Malcolm's parents?
Malcolm was in the Royal Navy - crew member on the Larkspur in 1891 Census

You need to view the original image on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ rather that this transcript. I think the transcript in error has Roderick down as Robert, a few more issues too but not many really. Everyone down as born in Lochs except for Catherine:

It would likely be a case of seeing which mother from two marriages you have found had a son called Malcolm. You know at least that Roderick and Catherine did have a son Malcolm in the right year range.
