Hi,
Can't find Rhoda marriage, but the following may help?
Source: Shropshire Family History Society
Richard WYCHERLEY of Horsehay, was buried at Holy Trinity, Dawley Magna, 20th March 1833, aged 53.
There's no sign of her remarrying in Shropshire.

Shropshire Archives have the collection of Boyd's marriages for Shropshire.
The Shropshire Family History Society http://www.sfhs.org.uk/ have an index of Shropshire marriages, these are on the computers at Shropshire Archives, or try posting on the above link they must have that database.
I cannot find your marriage either. But found a few other connections to your family which you probably already have.
The MI might contain valuable information to go with this burial.

Thanks for that Alberbury. I am a member of the sfhs did ask them years ago but can always ask again.
I have her death cert. But will look at length at the Shropshire history link you sent me.
The last 3 links the first 2 l did years ago. I had forgot all about them. Did not think they were still on net as I left talk talk about 7 years ago. And I notice the last link says they got it from my ancestry tree. Thanks again. Hopefully I might get somewhere

Hi Maggsie, Regarding the Rhoda Bailey yes I was thinking of her years ago . But the trouble is that she would have only been 12 when she had her first son in 1799. Think she would have been a bit young, but knowing our family anything could happen. Richard would have been 20 in 1799 .
I have a feeling whoever it is they did not get married as surely I would have found it after 20 yrs of searching. I also keep going back to why their son Richard 1813 was born in Brockmoor Staffs.
Brierley hill is about 18 miles from Madeley,

Just a thought. Have you checked for other children of the Baileys? Could always be an adult baptism.
-
No I haven't. It's a good thought. Will check. Thanks so much . Gena

Just a thought - have you actually seen the christenings of William, Sarah etc, William and Rhoda's children? To confirm parents are William and Rhoda? Otherwise, maybe the older children were from a previous marriage of Williams, and he married Rhoda later and she is not actually the mother of thbe older children. Thus Rhoda Bailey would remain a candidate, as she could be younger.

I do have William baptism and death

and this is my line Joseph b1805

I have a Richard Wycherley b1842 moved to Warrington. 14 Miles away. Son on Joseph b 1805 my 2nd ggrand father. Half brother to Andrew b 1851 my great grandfather. There have been some moving to Durham. But mostly I can only find them in Shropshire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire.
I do know there is a large gathering of Wycherley's in Ireland. They went over with Cromwell and settled there. But cannot find any link there at present.
The Wycherley originated from Shropshire as far as I can tell and been informed.
I do not know if you have seen the enclosed.

Three of these trustees having quitted the trust by death or otherwise, members of the families of Playter of Satterley, co. Suffolk, and of Onslow of Onslow, in the liberty of Shrewsbury, managed the property from 1641 to 1665, when they and others sold it to Daniel Wycherley.
The Wycherleys were a wild race, but they were succeeded by a wilder. Daniel Wycherley, father to " one of the greatest wits and most eminent comic poets that England has ever produced," owned the manor of Wem when the great fire of March 3rd, 1677, consumed nearly the whole town. But a costly lawsuit compelled him to sell the manors of Wem and Loppington, which on December 23rd, 1684, were purchased for £9,000 by the Lord Chief Justice Jeffreys.

Amongst the most important families connected with Clive and Sansaw, were those of Russel, Gery, Wycherley, and Gardner. William Wycherley, the dramatist, was born at Clive Hall, about 1640. The Clive Hall estate passed from the Wycherleys in 1752, to their relatives, Nehemiah Huffa and Elizabeth Cadman, and from them to Robert Embrey, at whose decease it was sold to Charles Harding, and it is now the property of Thomas Meares, Esq. The Sansaw estate was purchased by John Gardner, in 1622, and it remained with his descendants until 1883, when it was sold to James Jenkinson Bibby, Esq.. of Hardwicke Grange, and is now the property of his son, Frank Bibby, Esq. Mr. Percy Wright Thorniley, of Shooter's Hill House, also owns land in this parish.
