Hi
Please can anyone help, I have a death for Frank Holt of 22 Hillcrest, Hatfield, Hertfordshire on the 23/02/1988, I am trying to find who else may have lived at this address, There may be an Angela Holt (who I believe may have been adopted by Frank) but anyone else would be wonderful, This man was my cousin but I have never found out who he married, any help would be appreciated

I think all his relatives are dead, it was his wife's name I was after and she was born c1908

I was more thinking about "Angela"
She could very well be still alive? (there is one potential if my memory, from yesterday, serves me.) :)
As there are quite a few potential "Mrs Holt",
would you confirm his full name, where he was born, etc., etc..
ie Frank Benjamin?
Even dead relatives could be helpful.

The info I have for Frank is this
Born 1909 St George Hanover Square London, birth name Franz Horzenauer
listed on the death register as Franz Horzenauer, but his probate record is listed as Frank Holt. I did know him but not well and did'nt think to question him (I never Learn) I'm assuming he married as Frank Holt as I cannot find a marriage for the Austrian name.
I know nothing About Angela even if this info is correct (mum told me)
I'm not local to Hatfield, but I'm wondering if the local library would have these registers

Yes Ray that is his birth name, I have the info for when his father also Franz Horzenauer changed his name by deed poll to Francis Holt, that was in 1926, but it appears that the children just changed their names automatically, we called him Franz,(the son) but
I'm assuming he used the Holt name for work, probate etc. I do know he worked in a garage in Radlett but that must have been in the 60's wish he called himself anything but Holt. I did notice when I checked deaths in Hatfield that there was a Marjorie Holt dying I think c 1995 born 1908 who I thought may be a connection but so far I cannot find it
other than that I cannot think of anything else, I have found his parents & siblings bmd's, just who Frank Holt married

Have you wondered about applying for the probate record, and the death certificate for the name of the informant?
Do not understand that if you knew him you do not know about a wife. If they divorced before you knew him, that rather complicates matters.

If he married as Frank Holt (with no middle initial) and in the region of London to Hertfordshire, there are not that many marriages to investigate.

Marcie are you still looking to find out more about Frank Holt? He was born Franz Horzenauer and was my father and I am able to give you any details you need. There is no Angela in the family that I am aware of.

Frank Holt born Franz Horzenuer born 1909 to Rose Edwards and Franz Horzenuer. I only met him once, when he came to my Mums house to visit my grandma on her 100th birthday. (1984) I would love any info you have, he said that I looked like his Mum Rose, her brother was my grandfather David Astill
Edwards. if you have any photos you could share I would be grateful.

If your Grandmother lived in Welwyn Garden City I came with him when he visited his Aunt for her 100th Birthday and can vaguely remember it. Frank married my mother Eliza Louise (called Bunny by the family) born 1917 and died 1994 and they were married for over 50 years, I am their only child. I don't have many photos but will hunt out what I have, if you can give me an email address. Kind regards
