My Colquhoun ancestors lived at Hole Farm, Old Kilpatrick before moving to Cardross sometime between 1851-61. I've found a photo of Hole Cottage on the internet but does anyone know if Hole Farm still exists? I would like to find a photo old or present day of the farm if possible. Thank you.

Unfortunately, Hole Farm as such no longer exists.
Apparently at some time during the latter part of the 18th C., along with the neighbouring Closs, and Craigleith farms, it was subsumed into a larger unit, Mount Pleasant Farm, which exists today, just to the north of the A82 and south of Hole Cottage.

A long shot but does anyone know if there might be a photo of the house at Hole Farm? I don't know when the building was demolished so perhaps no such photo exists. Any advice or information would be appreciated.Thank you.

Hi there if you could on me re Colquhoun lines. I’m doing a tree for an old family friend who still lives on part of her family’s estate that is a neighbouring estate to that of the Colquhouns and Campbell’s.
She is also descended from these lines.
