Also have you considered Louis MARTINANT from France??
ADDED also mentions a TOUSSAINT in his Will
-
Can anyone find his marriage?
St George's Chapel, Mayfair
2 October 1746
Mr Louis Martimant & Mrs Mary Valenton of St Martins Westm(inste)r
All the brides on this page of the marriage register are recorded as 'Mrs' -- it doesn't indicate she was a widow.
The Mayfair Chapel was famous for 'clandestine' marriages.

Burial Index
St James Westminster
Middlesex
Mary MARTINANT buried 5th Nov 1780
Could be his first wife??
Also..
Marriage Index
St James Westminster
9th Aug 1768
TOUSSAINT James
MARTINANT Mary
So the James TOUSSAINT mentioned in the Will of Lewis MARTINNANT could have been either a son in law or a brother in law.
Have found several records of children born to a Peter Lewis MARTINANT in Westminster early 1800s.

Thank you all,I did find his will through Ancestry but parts of it was unreadable.I was told that "Martinnant" is a Huguenot name so maybe Louis Martinnant of France is my correct ancestor.
I found Peter Lewis Martinnant married to Jane Gwyllym 3 October 1799 Dover in Kent. Could you tell me how I can find out their occupations, please.I found an Apprentice indenture for Lewis,he took on board Elizabeth Pasmore 11 March 1765 as a Milliner. My ancesters are Pinnell,Stent.Hughes and Martinnant.
Thanks again.

Hello Bookbox.
I've restarted my research into Louis Martinnant 1723 which you helped me with in 2015. You gave me info on his marriage to Mrs Mary Valenton St Georges Chapel Mayfair 2nd October 1746.
Could you tell me where you found that as I have been on several sites and can't find it.
Thanks
Maggie

You'll find the image on Ancestry, in the database Westminster, London, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1558-1812.
It's indexed there as Lovis Martimant and Mrs Mary Valenton.
