Title: Trying to find my family DEMPSEY from granard co Longford

I'm desperately trying to trace my family and ancestors my grandmother was Nancy Dempsey and grandfather was Daniel Mirdad ,they had my father anthony mirdad and sent him away to be fostered for an unknown reason the info on the birth certificate says he was born and baptised in Longford however his fathers dwelling place was in Bradford I can only assume they weren't together when he was born, the baptism was at St mels cathedral on the 30th January 1959 and the sponsors were James Gettings who died on 4/1/1966 age 51 and E McKenna who I have no other info if anyone at all could give me any info at all I would be eternally grateful

I noticed this old Post today about Dempsey, BERNI on this site was looking for Dempsey a while ago in Granard.
Maybe she can shed some light on this family.
