is this one of your old enquiries on the Dalesman website?
Turnbull
I am looking for any relations of Thora Turnbull née Hogarth née Hayton, born 1914. She married Maurice Hayton in Beverley in 1933. She married again and went on to have two more daughters we believe. I would love to meet these people. She had a daughter with Maurice, Edith Maud Hayton, my nan, but she never had anything to do with her. Thora’s mother was Susannah Webster, born 1888, and her farther was George Aron Hogarth. I would love to get in touch with my long lost family. They were from the Sculcoates area. Please, if any one knows anything no matter how small, please get in touch. I have been told Thora died in 1980.

1891 Census
Holy Trinity and St Mary, Yorkshire
RG12/3935/49/14
William Webster, 41, Head, Mar, Waterman on Barge, born York
Harriet Webster, 38, Wife, Mar, born York
William E Webster, 20, Son, Unm, Waterman, born Hull
John Webster, 18, Son, Unm, Waterman, born Hull
Charlotte Webster, 8, Daug, Scholar, born Hull
SUSANNAH Webster, 3, Daug, born Hull *****
I am unable to find them together in 1901
Charlotte seems to be with Aunt Susannah Tordoff born c 1837 Mirfield, a Widow
-
1881/1891 Susannah (Charlottes Aunt) seems to be married to Heny Tordoff (no children with them)
1891 Susannah/Henry TORDOFF they have a Charlotte WEBSTER, age 78, Mother in Law (Mother), Widow, born c 1813 Lockwood with them.
Possible Marriage FreeBMD 1877;
Henry Tordoff/Susannah Horsfall on same page
1881 we have;
Mary Ann Webster, 62, Head, Widow, Pawnbroker
Charlotte Webster, 27, Neice, Unm
Charlotte Webster, 68, Sister in Law, Widow, born Lockwood**
Mary Ann Batty, 60, Servant
1871 Charlotte Webster is a Widow, at 2 Vine Court, St Mar, Lodging Housekeeper
Ok,
Susannah WEBSTER age 22 (1837) married John HORSFALL age 23, 8 Sept 1859, Dewsbury, Yorkshire
(Familysearch.Org)
Fathers WALACE Webster and WILLIAM Horsfall
So Susannah 1837 born Webster marries John Horsfall, he dies and she marries Henry Tordoff
-
1851 we have in Mirfield;
John Holt 32
Martha Holt 35
Webster Holt 9
John T Holt 5
Susannah Webster 14 Neice*****
So Martha is likely nee Webster

Mothers maiden name Hayton
This could mean he was illegitimate.
Death Reg;
Maurice W Hayton, March 1950, Nottingham, 3c 462

Not sure if this link is still active.....I am Thora Hogarth/Hayton/Turnbull`s grand daughter and have just started to research my family tree. These links came up in a search in Bing.
I would very much love to get together to discuss any information that`s available reguarding Edith Maude. No one in the family has ever known of her existence until now.....she had two sisters but the story goes that Maurice Hayton left Nana Hayton. I would dearly love to connect with someone and fill in the gaps.
Thank you so much
Karen. :)
