Hello

One off my grandparents great grandmothers marries in 1823 on 24 November in Wellington to a Robert morrall. Her name being Mary Hyde.

In the 1851 census she records that is was born about 1809 Dawley, living with Robert
Piece 1988
Folio 258
Page number 4

Can anyone help me in finding more inflation before she Marries into the Morrall household please.

Sorry I'm new to this. Hope the above information is ok

Her birthyear must be earlier than 1809 - married 1823 makes her 14yrs old.  1861 shows 1807

more inflation
  think you mean information  ;D

If you adjust her birthyear there are 2 possibilities on Family Search - 1804 and 1805 both in Dawley and both spelt Hide

Hi there

I think CaroleW is right about the age, on the 1861 census it shows b 1807 and on the 1881 census ( she was widowed) it shows b 1806.

There is this record on familysearch which might fit

Mary HIDE csd 18 Aug 1805 Dawley Magna parents Thomas and Shusannah https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J79Y-Y32

parents usually named children after their own parents - so - did Mary name any of her children
Thomas
Susannah
Richard
Sylvia  ................???
if she did that would point to the names of her parents
either Thomas and Susannah
or
Richard and Sylvia

You could also try and follow both families, sometimes you can find a clue which rules one family out.

children of Robert Morrall and Mary Hyde
Ann Morrall  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NXTS-KZB
THOMAS Morrall   https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NTW6-PXS
Samuel Morrall  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NGJW-H84
Harriett Morral   https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NGJW-VRS
Mary Anne Morrall  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JQ5Y-7C9
Mary Anne Morrall   https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NXTS-372
Robert Morrall    https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NGJW-8JY

the firstborn son was named Thomas - possibly after Mary Hydes father ???...so I would lean towards Thomas and Susannah as Mary Hydes parents as there are no children named Richard or Sylvia
