That is a burial index, the question was about M I's, which I assume, rightly or wrongly, means monumental inscriptions.

I have looked at the burial index, but Stan was correct I was looking for information from a possible gravestone

I am local to Sunderland Cemetery (Ryhope Road, Grangetown) I am willing to have a look and locate your memorial stone if you want to add the names you are looking for.

Cheers - Bryn

Thanks for your offer Bryn  but I have been to the cemetery myself on a number of occasions since posting and I have found the information I was looking for.
