Wondering if Norrie has inscriptions for Freuchie cemetery. I am looking for a gravestone of William Chalmers and wife Margaret Saunders. Margaret died in 1931 however I don't have date of death for William however he was alive in 1938 aged 73. Both have links to Kirkcaldy however they stayed in Freuchie at the end of their lives.

Hi Norrie,
My grandparents William Lawrie & Isabella Hain lived in Freuchie and are buried in Falkland cemetery.
They died 1955 & 1961.
Do you have the MI for their headstone.
Also I know there is another William Lawrie buried in Falkland.
Do you have the inscription on his gravestone?
Ta.

Thanks for that Norrie.
I'm puzzled that there is no stone for my grandparents.
I visited the graveyard in the early 70's.
My dad died in 1973, was cremated and his ashes were buried at the headstone.
There was an inscription on the stone that included a reference to my dad's brother James Lawrie dying in Australia in 1932.
William Lawrie who died 1916 was a grandson of John Lawrie & Ann Scott, farmer at Broomfield, Markinch and unfortunately I can't tie him in with my lot.

I've found an old photo of my grandparents headstone.
The photo is dated 1998.
