William and Elizabeth Woodvine had a child being
Samuel Woodvine born 2 December 1815 edgebolton shropshire
Can't find parents on the census return anyone help. Looking for William and Elizabeth
-
Any idea of age of parents? Or where they were born ? Was Samuel the eldest or youngest of the family?
Parents more than likely died before census era.
-
There's a possible death for a William Woodvine in the Shropshire Burials.
William Woodvine 14/09/1818 45 years from "the township of Edgboulton in the parish of Shawbury".
-
There are also possible siblings for Samuel, all born Edgbolton to William & Elisabeth in the Shropshire Baptisms: -
Sarah born 28/01/1799 baptised10/03/1799
Elisabeth born 28/03/1801 baptised 03/01/1802
Mary born 17/05/1803 baptised 10/07/1803
Thomas born 25/04/1805 baptised 26/05/1805
Joseph born 28/10/1807 baptised 13/12/1807
Richard born 10/04/1810 baptised 03/06/1810

Did Samuel marry? Any Woodvine witnesses at marriage?
Jackie

Witness to Samuel Woodvine and Ann Davies marriage is a William Woodvine.
That's all I know.
I'm clueless to what happened to wiilam and Elizabeth Woodvine.

Well, they were having children from 1799 to 1812 ish.
So, assuming (dangerous I know, to make any assumptions in family history!,, but we will do just for a moment, but will remember it is purely an assumption and not fact)they were, say 20-25 in 1799, and therefore 32-37 in 1812.
That means that by 1851 census, if they were still alive, they would be in tbeir 80's. Mlre than llikely they died before then.
Children stopped arriving in Edjbolton after 1812. So, either their family was complete and that probably meant wife was too old to bear more (so maybe older than my assumption), or either parent had died, or they had moved somewhere else.
So, I would be looking for a burial of either in Edgbolton from 1812, or any sign of them (chr of more children, or burials) in neighbouring parishes.
Have you found all their children in later censuses? Where do they give for place of birth? If the family movrd fron Edgbolton then the children may remember the new place clearer and give that.
When the children marry, do any say that father William is deceased?
