Title: Lower Deeside
Post by: jessienicolson on Wednesday 01 July 15 17:04 BST (UK)
Does anyone have a copy of the 1798 book, Men of Lower Deeside, who were of the right age group to fight, if Napoleon invaded Scotland.  I am looking for any John Reids, many thanks

Did you ever get any responses for this query?

No response as yet, I remember seeing it in the Aberdeen FHS and should have written down details of all the John Reids, a lesson learned.

It's strange as the term used "Lower Deeside" seems to be confusing, as the book seemingly refers to places North of the river Dee.
