Hi folks,
Is anyone aware of Caxton Baptist Chapel Inscription Records. I suppose I could take a trip there, to see the existing gravestones. But wondered if any paper records exist.

Many Thanks.

The cfhs.org.uk had a fiche available of the ones at St Andrew, but it's not showing in their current shop. I am unsure if you're asking if the transcriptions exist or are letting others know they do (I get confused easily!).
I'm sure if they had a fiche, it must still be available .... I do hate it when FHS sites aren't clear about what they have/had and what it actually contains etc. Quite a few of their fiches are no longer listed on their website, but they won't have thrown them away ....
The inscriptions are also available at the Records Office (Shire Hall?).

They have probably moved it over to CD. I think this is their policy, as fewer people have fiche reading facility then have CD (some some is even avialable as a download now). Having said that, I can't see it mentioned on the MI CDs.
They are usually very helpful, so a quick e-mail should confirm the answer :)

Thanks for the replys folks.
Yes St Andrews are not a problem. Ive also visited St Andrews in Caxton and had a look around. The place im talking about is the Baptist records. The graves are next to the baptist chapel (not used now), so i wonder if they are recorded alongside the baptist records.
Like you suggest, I will email the CFHS, and see what they say.
Cheers.

Well I contacted the good folks at CFHS, and they do not have information on that little chapel. Suffice to say they have a number of outstanding cemeteries, which need to be catalogued when time and resources permit.
When I get up there next time, I will do a visual record myself - and give them the data.
Cheers.

There are 3 listed on FindAGrave. Clearly somebody's personal interest.

Thanks Stanley. I have already seen those. Nice to know some one else has an interest in that place.
Cheers.
