Post by: taramcdsmall on Wednesday 08 July 15 15:00 BST (UK)
Just to note :

NLI Baptisms start 1852

YET

I got Batisms for Killanerin back to 1815 off rootsireland.

Again, I'm just noting incase it helps !

It begs the question... these are registers at NLI, are there other registers at National Archives??

That seems to be the problem.  Registers in different locations.

VERY Interesting Conahy.

Why would the local centers have records that the NLI don't.

I had presumed that the NLI had all that there was  ???

I am told that older Registers were not available for microfilming at the time. Killanerin covered Gorey Town at that time.

Subsequently these Killanerin records have been transcribed in their entirety, up to 1845 (date when Gorey Parish registers begin) printed and bound in Volumes.

They are available to view at the Gorey Parish Office, Gorey, Co.Wexford
