Hello
I need to see a Will proved in Ireland in January of 1879, which I found on the excellent Irish Genealogy ie.
Is it possible to get hold of it? Can anyone tell me what I need to do next please?
Many thanks.

Thank you.
I found the probate register OK, but how do I get the actual Will?
::)

You see a Will proved in Ireland in January of 1879 but what did you actually see?
an index of Wills or what?
-
It is the Register of Wills and Admons for 1879. Page 48.

That tells me probate was granted to the widow, but I would like to see if any other family were mentioned in the actual last will and testament.

Thank you Tara.
I keep getting only the probate register on-line, so perhaps the original document no longer exists, but it is worth a try. :-[

There is another thread on here ( I can't find it at the mo) but people were helping with what survived the 1922 bombing and what then it turn was sent from solicitors and the like into the NLI.
Hum, I'll keep routing to see can I find it !

Found It.
It's a very interesting thread with lots of input from folks who know a lot about it.
HA I wasn't lucky enough for any of my ancestors to have wills so I've never had to go down that line of research !

I appreciate your help Tara.
I have been trying to assist someone in Hawai, with this; she is desperate for answers and this looks like it is the only way she might get what she is after.

Oh to be in Hawaii ~ It's raining here today in Ireland, I NEED some sun ;D
Best Of Luck !

Well Tara, I am only over the water in Torbay area, where we have a little sun just now. Yes Hawaii certainly sounds idyllic. :P
