Sorry I can't help, but just wanted to say what a poignant story and how encouraging to see that this big company will fund the removal and re-burial with discretion and decency. I appreciate this is in line with Welsh requirements but still good to know.

I'm so glad you posted this, I hope the families can be traced.

I think Sarah Williams marries William Gibbs, because in 1891 there is this census entry:
 156 Broadway, Roath, Cardiff
William Gibbs  Head  54  Baker and provisions dealer, bn Gillingham, Dorset
Sarah Gibbs  Wife  50  bn St C?, Herefordshire
Lilla Gibbs  Dau  20 bn Gilwern
Gertrude Gibbs  16 bn Gilwern
Phillip Williams   F-in-L  74  Retired grocer bn Abbeydore
Tirzah Williams M-in-L  75  bn Rowlestone

A Lilla Maud Gibbs dies (presumably unmarried, if this is the correct one) June qtr 1906, in Gravesend

1901 - Gertrude Gibbs has married to John Rees Treharne.  They are living at 165 Gladstone Road, Barry with a daughter, Tirzah (5 months).  Grandma Tirzah, Sarah Gibbs (sister of Jane Tirzah) and Lilla are also living with them.

So then, looking at the index for the 1911 census, I think there are 3 children who would be the great nieces and nephews of Jane Thirzah Williams:
Tirzah Gwenllian May Treharne (10)
John George Royston Treharne (6)
Owen Gibbs Treharne (1)

One daughter comes from this marriage, who then appears to marry a cousin (so ends up with a Treharne surname).  I have found the address for this couple - do you want to pass it on, seeing as you started this thread!

Before I contact the newspaper, can someone else come to the same conclusion as me as to what happens to any children from the Walter Mabey/Tirzah Treharne marriage?  Don't want to look like a fool  8)

Looking at other great niece/nephews of Jane Thirzah Williams:

John George R Treharne - appears on passenger manifesto with wife Margaret Stella Treharne heading out to Peru (18th August 1960)

Looks like they both die in Montevideo in 1972 (online family tree suggests this cause of death https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STV_Royston_Grange)

Owen Gibbs Treharne marries Joyce Mingay 1935 Hereford.

They have two sons, one of whom marries his cousin Mabey.

So, Jane Thirzah Williams has a sister, Sarah Williams who marries William Gibbs and they have:

Oakleys - perhaps this one in 1861?

Wenalt (perhaps Wenallt Fach?)

John Oakley  Head  Mar 29 Miner bn Hereford
Ann Oakley  Wife  Mar  38  bn Radnor Llanvihangel
Ellin Oakley  Dau  16  bn Radnor Llanvihangel
benjamin Oakley  Son  9  bn Brecon Llanelly
Mary Ann Oakley  Dau  5  bn Brecon Llanelly
Elizabeth Oakley  Dau  2  bn Brecon Llanelly

Ellin Oakley isn't a great match for the Ellen that dies in 1862, but at the moment I can't see another good candidate.  The Richard Oakley that died aged 4 was born in 1854 in Crickhowell, so he would have fit nicely between Benjamin and Mary Ann  :-\

1871 - the Oakley family are in Gilwern.

Children Benjamin (18), Mary A (14), Elizabeth (11), Jane (9), Louisa (2).

So, to the best of my research and understanding (feel free to chip in please!), Ellen Oakley would have descendants via these siblings.  Will have a hunt for descendants from Benjamin first.

1881 census:

Benjamin has married to Martha (born Llandrindod).  They have two children: John (3, bn Llanelly, Brecon), and Harold (2, bn Abergavenny, Monmouthshire)

Can't see Benjamin Oakley on the 1891 census, but I think I have him on the 1901.

Looks like his first wife has died, and he has remarried.  Children he has with him are Ethel M (17), Herbert (14), and Benjamin (5 months)

1911 - second wife might have died.  Children with him are Ethel Maud (27), Benjamin Archibald Lloyd (10), Victor Lloyd (8 ), William Clifford Lloyd (5)

So possible descendants will come from:
John Oakley (bn 1878)
Harold Oakley (bn 1879)
Ethel Maud Oakley (bn 1884)
Herbert Oakley (bn 1887)
Benjamin Archibald Oakley (bn 1900)
Victor Lloyd Oakley (bn 1903)
William Clifford Oakley (bn 1906)

Victor Lloyd Oakley married Emily May Roberts in 1930.  Victor dies in 1955; no obvious children from marriage.

Archibald Benjamin Lloyd Oakley married B. Jones (might still be alive) in 1941.  Archibald died in 1976.  Can't see any children from this marriage

I think Herbert Oakley marries Annie (yup, making her Annie Oakley!) in c. 1906.  They have two kids, Cyril (bn c. 1910) and Ethel (bn c. 1904)

John Oakley marries Truth/Ruth Newman in 1906, in Essex.

Having real trouble finding any descendants of Benjamin Oakley, so moving on to Louisa Oakley.

I think she marries William John Pritchard.  They have one daughter bn c. 1906 (Mary Rebecca Pritchard).

Mary Rebecca Pritchard married John H Nicholls in 1930.  Mary Rebecca Nicholls died in 2002.  Again, having difficulty finding children of this marriage.

Just double checking facts and figures, and I think this should be Harold Oakley, not Herbert.
