Title: matthew thompson Bounty mutineer
Post by: annalexander96 on Tuesday 11 August 15 03:09 BST (UK)
Hello,I wonder if anyone has any information on Matthew Thompson of HMS Bounty mutineer fame.I am trying to find out anything about him and his family.I believe he was born on IOW in 1750 and died in Tahiti 1790.He is in my family tree but can't seem to find exactly where he fits in.
Many thanks.
Ann

Hi Ann,
   Welcome to rootschat  :)

I found a few web references but they probably aren't much help in fitting him into your tree

Hi Ros,

Many thanks for answering my query but I have already had a look on the sites but I am still no further ahead.
Cheers Ann

Hi Ann

Blyth's log is available online here - http://www.fatefulvoyage.com/logbook/log890428.html

Thompson's age matches but they do not say where he was from.
