Hello all,
I'm looking for info on the family of Robina Loch Blane Ritchie. She married  Ian Mackinnon from Inveress around 1941/1942. They weren't together very long as he returned to Inverness after his war service without her. But I have a record of Robina or Ruby as she was known has having a son named David. He was born in 1950 in Dunragit. His fathers name on the birth certificate is blank. Her 1980 death certificate has her as Ruby Mackinnon which is surprising as Ian divorced her and remarried. At least I hope he did!
Any info would be great.

I don't think it is unusual to go on using an ex-husband's surname after divorce. I did until I remarried and my husband's ex-wife used his name until she remarried.
