Hello I am seeking the relatives of Cecelia Patricia Rafferty/Gallagher who died at 1949 So. Ithan St. Philadelphia on December 21st 1958. Cecelia was born in Yorklyn Delaware around 1911/14. She was the wife of Hugh Joseph Rafferty but resided all her married life in Philadelphia. She also had a son (*) (born 1947/53.) Could some kind Roots chat member please put me in contact with relatives of the late Cecelia Rafferty/ Gallagher? The father of Cecelia was named William and he was originally from Derry North Ireland. I would appreciate so much any family contact.

You can hire a Philadelphia researcher to look for an obituary notice for clues for further research and the researcher could also order a copy of the death certificate at very low cost.

Appears that Hugh (as above) was married and widowed. This loks like him on the 1930 Census with a wife and 2 children. Perhaps if we come forward with these children, we might find reference to s step-brother born 1947/53 ish ???

Cecelia's obit doesn't mention her son or any children, just her husband Hugh J. Rafferty.

Former Phillips and Jacobs employee Joseph H. Rafferty, 76, of Northeast Philadelphia, a former employee of Phillips and Jacobs, died April 15 at home. Born in South west Philadelphia, he graduated from West Catholic High School in 1949. He joined the Army and served with distinction at many posts throughout the nation. His proudest moment as a soldier was the offer of appointment to West Point. Mr Rafferty married Marcella Hackney in 1955 and moved to Northeast....................etc etc
