Have you attempted to find their marriage or anything else about them?

No, really stuck. What we do know, is they owned some land near Bridgnorth in 1944, and sold it.

Presumably no second names for either?

Elsie Sylvester is a fairly uncommon name.

Have you attempted to match up possible deaths (very few showing) with possible marriages (again, very few - one?) and births?  Could have been a second marriage for Elsie to complicate matters.

If they were selling lands, have you checked any probates for either as they may have made wills?

Is it at all possible that George's wife's name was Elise?

George Thomas Silvester married Elise Frances Marion Meacham in Ledbury district in June quarter of 1918.
George Thomas Silvester of Cwmcarvan Court, Monmouthshire died in 1952. National Probate Calendar shows probate was granted to Elise Frances Marion Silvester, widow.
Elise Frances M Silvester died in Hillingdon district in June quarter in 1971, but the National Probate Calendar shows her address as Flat 2, Neville House, Underdale Road, Shrewsbury.
