Trying to work out which boat or ship and where my great great uncle drowned in 1893?
His name was Anthony Hamill from Maryport, Cumberland.
-
What does it say on his death certificate?
-
All we have is this death card.
He's not buried in the cemetery here.
If it wasn't for this card we wouldn't even know he existed.
Bit of a mystery.

This is your other post I take ;D

Yes but that's his half brother also called Anthony Hamill.
So I have two Anthony Hamill's vanishing at sea.

One of the subscription sites has the index of Maritime deaths. I found someone from my tree (1884) "supposed drowned", just below the entry for "Three Indian Coolies.
I don't have a sub to that site any more.

Nothing under Deaths at Sea recorded by GRO
have you looked at the local papers, for Nov - Jan 1894 and an inquest....?
