I have reached in impass and would appreciate some assistanc.
Im researching a woman who lived in Tunbridge Wells as a home called "St Katherines" located at No. 1 Calverley Park Gardens.
She is listed in directories for this house as "Mrs Pearson" during the years 1862 up to 1882.
I found a probate record for her that stated she was Eliza Sarah Pearson "formerly of Windermere,Westmorlant but late of St Katherines,Tunbridge Wells and that she died at St Katherines, a widow, Dec. 18,1878. The executors of her under 14,000 pound estate was Rev. Charles Belgraves the rector of Kilworth,Leicester and her nephew William Pearson in Leicester a major in the Leicestershire militia.
I found she was buried in the T.Wells cemetery on December 23,1878.
I have not been able to find out any more about her except the 1871 census that has her at St Katherines, 1 Calverley Road, T.Wells, widow, born 1797 London, living from interest on landed property. Living with her is one companion and four domestic servants.
Anything about her prior to 1862 would be a great help.

Hi,
The following could be of interest -
A William Pearson (1767-1847) was the Rector of South Kilworth. His first wife was Francis Low, their only child, Francis was baptised 27 January 1797.
His first wife died, he then married Eliza Sarah who was the same age as his daughter (b.1797) which is the same birth year as the Eliza Sarah that you are researching.

Whilst the above does not answer your question and it may all be a coincidence but perhaps worth researching further.

William Pearson (1767-1847) was educated at Hawkshead, near Windermere, Cumberland.

There does appear to be more and more coincidences - this time it's the place Windermere.

Rev William Pearson's will has a probate date of 6 Dec 1847. It's a long detailed one at 11+ pages. Mentions land in Windermere, Grassmere.... seems to be left to his wife Eliza Sarah.
