Elizabeth Maud was my paternal grandmother's sister. Their parents were John Edward Boshell and Susan Dowzard.
I am unable to find a death or a marriage for her, and she is not in the 1901 census.
Any ideas?

1901 Ireland census has a 20 year old Elizabeth Boshell, with a father John in Pembroke West, Dublin?
But the wife in the household is Janette - could John have remarried?
-
Thank you but no Susan Boshell nee Dowzard died in 1882 after the birth of
another daughter Susan.
I am not aware of a re marriage for John, although he did have another daughter Kathleen Elizabeth in 1885 8)

Have you ruled out the Elizabeth Boshell, age 65, died July/Sept.1945 Dublin South (volume 2 page 368)?
The Lizzie Boshell who went to N.Y. in 1911 was going to her brother W.H. Boshell, 6[?] Jones St., N.Y.
Son of a John Boshell & Jennelle [Janette?] Duffy born 1893-

Aghadowey, I have not really considered the death you mention.
I am not aware of an Elizabeth Boshell in the family. My father was not aware of her existence. He knew his mother Annie obviously, and I remember visiting Aunt Susan, when I was a child.
He was close to Kathleen Elizabeth (his auntie Kit). She died in 1927 in Crumpsall.
I have no memory of an Elizabeth.

William Boshell born 22 Mar.1877 Dublin with parents John & Jane (Duffy) Boshell. This is likely the same couple who had son born 1893 (ported earlier) so can't be the same John Boshell who married Susan Dowzard. However, this William could be the brother of Lizzie who went to U.S. in 1911.
Aghadowey, I have not really considered the death you mention.
I thought you'd already checked for births and marriages in Ireland ???

I have checked BMDs in Ireland for Elizabeth Maud Boshell!

It's not uncommon for different names to appear on different certificates (sometimes only middle names shown, etc.) but difficult to say if the registration I found is your missing Elizabeth Maud Boshell- even getting that death certificate might not clear up the mystery.

This has been bugging me for months! ::)
I can't find the death that Aghadowey mentioned :(
Also, John Boshell died in 1887/8 and the Boshells were always C of I.
