Possible relation.
The problem is that Drummond isn't a Sligo surname.
You'll need Michael's marriage to get his fathers name and occupation.

KGarrard told you that Michael's records said that he was a Miller.
There is this chap called John Drummond, also born in Sligo, and occupation also a Miller.
Could be just a coincidence but might be worth looking at.

This is a total long shot but the surname DRUMMY exists in Collooney.

Michael's mother's name was Bridget ~
There is this 1868 possibility !
Again a long shot though !

Hi. I recently started researching the Drummond family history. My father is the son of Theresa A Drummond, who is one of Michael and Annie Jessica daughters! I found your post whilst googling Micheal Drummond. My father had told me that his grandfather was originally from Ireland, was a Miller for a period of time then moved to Scotland. He also worked as a bricklayer and then joined the military, he served in the boer war? And WW1. Michael and Annie had 4 children, Bernard,Patrick, Norah and Theresa. My research is in the early stages so it was great to find your post.
