Is there anybody out there visiting the Land Records office in Dublin in the near future? I am in need of 1 page for a townland to verify a family connection that we are working on but a trip to Dublin is not on the cards until 2016. Many thanks.

Depends on County... The Cancelled/Revision Books for the six Northern Ireland counties are already digitised and online (at PRONI).

No it's for the republic. I have been to the office before and found the cancelled land books extremely useful when tracing family. It is a shame they are not online.

It is a shame they are not online.
They will be eventually if the money is available.

Thanks for letting me know, I had not heard that development.
In the meantime, if anybody is visiting the office in Dublin and would be willing to check for us, please let me know. We are willing to return the favour anyway we can.
Thanks!
