This is a long shot as I don't where about in Ireland they are from.
Moses/Maurice Maguire.Born in 1819 and was a tailor. He was married to Mary and she was born in 1826. They came to Liverpool between 1848 and 1857. Their first son George was born (1848) in Ireland and their second son Henry (1857) was born in Liverpool.
Maurice and Mary both died in Toxteth Park Workhouse Liverpool.Maurice on the 14th August 1890 aged 71 and Mary 1st July 1886 aged 61.
Any info/ help would be appreciated.

Mary Anne is also born Liverpool.
There is a baptism for Henry which shows Mary's maiden name as Sloane. Do you have this? The godmother is Margaret Maguire so that may help you.

I was hoping that one of them would give a more specific place of birth in later censuses but sadly that is not the case.
You would need more details to track them down.

There are two births that could be Maurice if you search back
And a promising family for Mary Sloane as the father is George and mother Ellen BARRY based in Cobh; there are three children in the records George, Margaret & Mary two of whom have ROYNANE witnesses which also ties
This may not be the correct family to follow but......
There is also a Maurice MAGUIRE on the UK 1841 census, a tailor, in Cheltenham aged 25

This could be the family as we were always told as kids that they came from Cork.
The 1861 Liverpool census has him as Moses but at George's marriage,13.9.1868, he was Maurice.
I have info on George,my GGF, but it has him as being born in 1848,4 years off but close enough.
No record of the others but it's something to follow.
If it is them Maurice would have been 21 and Mary 14 when they married.

That's great myluck! I had a quick search but could find nothing but that seems to fit.
Cork had crossed my mind, as I have come across Maurices known as Mossy or Moss and one at least is ( still living) from Cork :)

Sorry it has taken my so long to replay.
Ballyaltikillgan your post was a great help. found out loads about the Boston branch.They lived in Lowell MA. I have down got to Henry's GG kids.There was three lads born 1913 to 16. I know the middle one died in 1973.
Any children they had will be in their 60/70's I should think with kids of their own.
I will keep digging until I find one.
