Title: Parents of Catherine Warren of Co. Roscommon

I wonder if anyone can shed some light on a problem. I am trying to find the family of a Catherine Warren who was born about 1836 in Co. Roscommon and who married James McCormick from Co. Armagh. As James was in the 76th regiment some of the children were born in India. I had thought Catherine's parents were Thomas Warren and Mary Gallagher but this would seem to be wrong as that family travelled to America where they seemed to settle and that Catherine appears to have married someone else. I would be very grateful if anyone can help.

Earlier on the Antrim thread the surname Waring was mentioned as Catherine's maiden name-

Daughter Eliza Jane's birth registration also says Waring-

Still trying those hallmark. Just not sure which parish in Co. Roscommon she is from so going through as many as I can.

Yes aghadowey I have tried several variations of name but have not yet had any success. The Antrim part of this couple had me confused and after thinking I was on the right path with Catherine's parents I realise that they were the wrong people. But I will keep on trying. Thanks to you and hallmark for your help.

Griffiths Valuation in Roscommon c. 1857-58 lists just three Warrens:-

James Warren, Turlaghnamaddy,   Tibohine Parish,   Roscommon
Thomas Warren, Rathmore,    Kiltrustan Parish, Roscommon
Patrick Warren,   Corgarrow,    Kiltrustan   Parish, Roscommon

Do you know Catherine's religion?

I know registers.nli are RC but does ab196 know whether her Catherine was RC? 

Having spent almost 25 years researching them, I've found nearly all Warrens in Ireland at that time were CoI.
