Hi all had anybody else noticed theres been no new records added this week, they are usually added very early in the mornings?
-
You're right, I usually get an e-mail telling me what records have been added. Nothing this week
-
Maybe they are saving it for the big release of the 1939 register could be this weekend? or am I being hopeful? lol
-
This is what I'm hoping for too. Fingers crossed! ::)
-
They have been reasonably early in the morning recently, but it's not that unusual to see them later, lunchtime sometimes.

No I didn't seem to get one either - did get one about a blog though..it didn't mention the register though!
I thought I did get something about it earlier in the week, but I can't find it in my inbox, so I dunno!

It could also be because it's half-term, starting today, so a lot of people who are usually at home, with nothing better to do than surf the Net, are having to look after their darlings and spend their time looking for things to do in the local area.

You mean there are other things to do? With real people??? Outside ???
No I didn't get mine either

Somebody asked about this on their Facebook page and FindMyPast replied that there will be no record release today, but big news early next week. I think it may be the 1939 register!
-
I think I need lessons on how to use FindMyPast - cos the results I get when searching are awful - :(
I know its me and my lack of patience

Fingers crossed then! Also that they award their loyal subscribers with a free trial of the 1939 records.
-
May be they are going to give the release date, lets not build up our hopes although there is n't much time to go before the end of the year! There was something on a site in the week, possibly the bbc as a friend had only just heard about it. Do you think it could be november the 11th? If so that would be a good birthday present for me.Probably ot as its midweek!
-
I'm glad someone mentioned this, I was beginning to wonder where it was.
-
I too was getting puzzled when the page opened to a blog with no dates for today.I do find FindMyPast a hard site to negotiate and I'm sure I miss a lot of records by going about things the wrong way.

Hi all.... :)
I also wondered about the Friday records and the link page looks different but scrolling down is this, which was put on, on Wednesday.

I haven't seen them before, so I am assuming they are new?
So, I am happy searching through the "The Dioceses of Lichfield & Coventry marriage allegations and bonds" :D
Edited to add - ... I don't know what I am thinking! they were from 16th October!
-
I never get notifications from FindMyPast about new releases. I've no idea why I've had a sub for years.
-
I wonder when this announcement will be made if they stated early next week from tomorrow onwards is more midweek lol
im so impatient
-
I had an email today about their new blog, perhaps that is what they were announcing this week ;D
-

Thats great news its only monday im disappointed that there seems to be no supscription options seems expensive 25 pound for 5 households as I wianted to look at over double that many :(
-
I think we may have to be very patient if we wait until it's part of a sub.
It's still cheaper than the £42 that was being charged for the information. Luckily I got some transcripts when they were going free some time ago so not many I want to look at.

Yes but don't think we'll be doing free lookups for people at this price.
-
Can someone help with this? What if you don't no the address of a ancestor at this time will you be able to search the records by name and then if you do come across the correct person pay to view it?
