My 2 times Great Grandma Ann Ging also used (Anna or Hannah) through her life was born around 1851, I have worked this out from her death in 1931 she was 80 years.
I am struggling to find her birth,or her marriage to James Murray, I do know that she had her first child Margaret Murray 11th March 1870 in Leixlip she was baptised 20th March 1870 at the Church of our Lady of Nativity Leixlip.
I have found a entry for a marriage into the Church for a James Murray and a Annastia Ging marrying on the 21st May 1869, this seems to fit in with the birth of their daughter but the problem I have is the name is different than what she used through life.
On the 1911 census for England Ann says she was born in Leixlip, The family mentioned that when Ann became pensionable age she applied for proof of her age and found that her name was different than what she had used through her life, but I don't know what the name was.
I have searched endlessly but can't find her birth and I am not convinced of the marriage entry for her is correct.
Can any one advise me or direct me as I know every thing about her in England but nothing of her life in Ireland.
Thank you Jean

Well it only costs €4 to get a copy of Cert
-
No use getting the certificate if I am not sure it is the right one. I would gladly purchase a certificate if I was sure it was my family.
-
well you'd find out if you got it!

Anastasia was sometimes shortened to Ann, Annie, etc.
-
Yes I agree that it could have been a shortened version of her name I hoped so.
Would I apply to the registrar in Dublin for a marriage certificate.

Hi Jean.
Thank you for replying. I had a few problems with replying to your message but it seems to have resolved now.
I am really pleased to have come across your plea for information re: Ann hannah or anastasia: we have been trying to get the same information as yourself. I say we ( my brother and I ) .
As I mentioned previously the grave does have an hannah and a margaret murray both around the same age.
There does appear to be a discrepancy with margaret Gibson nee murray from the baptism record I have and the age of her death (approx ten years different). I would love to share the paper's information but I am struggling to find a way of doing this? I hope you receive this message and it finds you in good health.

Hi Julie.
Hannah and Margaret were sister in laws, Margret was James Murray's sister, Margaret t lived with Hannah up to her death. Margaret never married she states on the 1911 census she was born in Sligo Ireland, on her death certificate it says her father was Edward Murray not sure about James as he died 1887.
Margaret Gibbson nee Murray was born 1870 died 1933 age 64 years, do you have the same Margaret?
I would love to see your information and share what we have.

Hi, The baptism paper reads..
Margaret Murray daughter of James Murray & Anne Ging Born 11th March 1870 . Baptised 20th March 1870.
The Cemetery record ..
Margaret Murray March 19th 1930 age 79 then someone has put 60 next to the age.
Hannah Murray Dec 23 1931 age 80 then again someone has put 61 next to the age.
Margaret Gibson Oct 4th 1933 aged 73
James Murray Aug 14th 1941 aged 70
Hope this helps.

Hi Julie,
It is obvious to me the entry of burial is incorrect I have the death certificate for Margaret and she was 64 at death, my grandma also confirmed this when she was alive.
We must meet some how we have so much to offer.
Thank you for the grave information as I had planned to go to Preston to see the grave entry for Hannah and family.

My grandmother was Kathleen Murray she married Jack Blackledge .
My father was Jack Blackledge.
My brother is John Blackledge and lives in Darwen.
I married and was Shannon but reverted back to my maiden name after the divorce. I now live in church near Accrington. If you are local I could let you have a copy of any of the paper's.
Do you know where the grave is ?
Have you been to grave ?
Julie.
