I am trying to find the birth record of Mary Kinsella. She was the daughter of Andrew Kinsella, I would like to confirm her mother's name.
Mary married John Williams and had children Richard & Bridget Williams. In the 1901 census at address 25 Bewley Street New Ross she is shown as age 66 Widow living with daughter in law Bridget Williams wife of the above named son Richard. She gives her place of birth as Ballinacoola
If the age on the census is correct this puts Mary's year of birth about 1835. However, when Mary Kinsella married John Williams in 1871 she is shown as age 40 which makes her year of birth about 1831.
Can anyone help me find the birth of mary Kinsella.

Thanks myluck
I have the details of mary Williams in the 1901 census. I think she died sometime in 1901 and I am currently waiting for her death certificate. Would like to find her birth record so that I can trace her parents and any siblings she may have had.

Andrew is shown as a labourer.
I don't knnow Ireland at all but I presume the links you have given for Kinsella families are the correct parish for the family I am interested in.

You are being very helpful. I am not going to find Mary's baptism then as you say the records do not go back that far.
I think more research is required for me to find who Andrew married and so would be Mary's mother.
Thanks

There are a Margaret & James Kinsella listed in Ballinacoola (specifically) in the early 1870's, although how / if they are related I can't tell.
As you can see by the GV the surname was very common in the general area so it will be hard to work out connections and hence work backwards.
I can't see any Petty Session records for an Andrew Kinsella in the area, which might have helped.
There is this possible death
Andrew
Kinsella
Birth year 1814
Death year 1898
Registered quarter/year Jan - Mar 1898
Registration district Gorey
Volume 2
Page 712
Death certs don't always yield great results as it's not always ext of kin who registers the death.

So that all possibilities be viewed there is a Ballinacoola in the Catholic Parish of Ballindaggin as well as Ballinacoola More and Beg in Castlebridge RC parish as well as the one that is being discussed which is in Craanford RC parish which was joined to Camolin Ballyoughter prior to 1845 and where the records are to be found

There is also a Ballinacoola outside New Ross ,Co. Wexford. It is between New Ross and on the Enniscorthy Road. The nearest church would be Rathgarogue R.C. this is in the parish of Cushinstown. Cushinstown Parish registers are online . The diocese is Ferns. You can find them on www.nli.ie . Hope this helps.
