You can look up the Register of Electors in local libraries, but that's not much help if you can't get to whichever place you want to look up.

Other than that, as far as I know there isn'y anywhere where you can look up the registers for everywhere free of charge online.

I have occasionally found a listing on www.192.com and then used that to look up the online telephone directory.

Have you tried http://www.searchelectoralroll.co.uk/ you have to register and you get 3 free searches per few minutes.

However you will find that we all had the option in England to opt out of the edited (public) register in about 2005 ish,and a lot of us no longer appear with an up to date address, even though a lot of us haven't actually moved house!

Regrettably, the same applies in Scotland.
