I was wondering if anyone would be able to search any records for Duncan MALCOLM. I believe he was born approx 1773 in Renfrewshire; he married Elizabeth ALLISON in 1790 at High Church Paisley, and had a son Duncan Allison MALCOLM who was born 1813.
I have no other records of relatives (parents, siblings or children) and I don't know when he died.
Many thanks.

Hi Raywitt and Colin
There is this thread on another forum on the family that might help http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/surnames.malcolm/333/mb.ashx From these posts, possible that son Robert and family headed of to Australia in the 1840s.

Thank you Colin and Monica.
Yes, I believe both replies refer to the family I was seeking. Thank you for the records search. I need to have a good read through that link of the family.
I know Duncan Allison MALCOLM moved to Australia with his wife Isabella and 2 daughters in 1848 so I don't think the CURRIE connection is one and the same Duncan, but perhaps a cousin or relative.
Your help is much appreciated.
