Good evening all. My Aunt has recently passed away with no will or funeral plan. The only information I have so far is that her husband Douglas Hague is buried in Harehills Cemetery, Leeds. I do not have a date of birth or death. The only wish I am aware of from Aunt Kath is that she wished to be buried with Douglas. I have no idea whether she paid for a plot or even how I find that out..... Help !! All her immediate relatives are deceased. Kind regards, G

I suggest you try here
http://www.leeds.gov.uk/residents/Pages/Cemeteries-and-Crematoria.aspx
Bereavement Services keep records of graves/grave ownership/interments etc.
DO you know your aunt's maiden name - if her marriage can be identified then the marriage certificate (once bought) will show Douglas' year of birth, helping to narrow down his death by his age.

Welcome to Rootschat
If I were you, the first thing I'd do would be to speak to the undertaker that you employ to arrange the funeral. They are often very good at being able to find out these things and will know who to ask. It shouldn't be too hard as you know which cemetery he was buried in. The chances are that she arranged his funeral so it should all be on record.

As far as I can see there are two "recent" deaths of a Douglas Hague in Leeds,
Douglas Hague birth 27 Jul 1919 death Feb 1994
Douglas Hague birth 9 Aug 1920 death Mar 2007
Do either of these seem likely?

This could be their marriage?

Thank you so much. I recall now, that Aunt Kath was Molloy, so that is definitely their marriage. I am fairly sure that the 2007 date of death will be correct too. This is so helpful, thank you again!!
