I think you need to change the 1933 to 1833 ....according to the 1881 census Joseph was born 1835
Elizabeth was born in Chirbury and was also born in 1835

in the 1871 census their eldest 4 children were born in Shipton - so maybe they married there ?
1851 he is in Ludlow
he died aged 77 in 1911 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2NRQ-HP1
to help find the marriage could you post the other various spellings please

that Marriage to Elizabeth Wittingham is a great find sgf- I am sure Druid will be very pleased with that info

As Joseph was a widower when he married Elizabeth, there's another marriage to find ;D
-
Thomas Weal, witness could be Joseph's brother as there is a baptism 10th June 1831, Onibury. Parents John and Jane Weal of Walton, Salop. John is a labourer.

Shipton burial - but it is in 1850 -is it a little early to be Josephs wife? - the name is Harriet Weale

there is a death in Ludlow 1854 of a Mary Weale
-
looks like a mistranscription
1853 in Ludlow has a possible Joseph Wheal to Mary Galliers or Sarah Bullock
added
1853 Joseph Wheal married Sarah Bullock Ludlow Registry office or Registrar attended
http://www.shropshirebmd.info/cgi/marrind.cgi
added
2 children
Martha Weale bap 13th feb 1854 in Onibury
Joseph Weale bap 22nd march 1856 in Shipton
so we are looking for a death of Sarah March 1856 to 1859
NO DEATH for Sarah Weale 1856 -1859 ....I wonder if Josephs second marriage was bigamous ??
Sarah is a wife in 1861 census Walton Onibury,Shrops ....can't see Joseph

Elizabeth baptism possibly, a 'h' in the surname:
29th January 1832, Chirbury. Elizabeth Whittingham daughter of William and Jane of Rovington. William is a labourer.
-
Sarah Weal of Moorhouse Cottages was buried 23rd June? 1858, Shipton, aged 35 years.

Sarah Weal of Moorhouse Cottages was buried 23rd June? 1858, Shipton, aged 35 years.
brilliant ...so we presume that Joseph and Elizabeth have Martha and Joseph jnr with them in census returns 1861 onwards ...Sarah was 10 years older than Joseph then - she must have been born 1823 - Joseph 1833 .....unless that age of 35 should read 25 ?
thanks sgf ....
-
Had a look at the parish register for Sarah's death and it is a clear '35'. :)
-
