Looking for the marriage of Drucilla / Drucella Hunt, she was born Hough on the Hill abt.1843.......I believe that she married at Grantham in 1863, but can't find a spouse for her.......any help appreciated.......Del.

All I know about her is that she was born 1843 at Hough on the Hill, Lincolnshire, to mother Eleanor Hunt......she appears on the 1851 and 1861 census....... I cannot find her after that..... there is a marriage at Grantham in 1863 for a Drusilla Hunt.......to either John Allcock or William Cheney.....but neither of those names lead anywhere...Del.

Jennifer, Thanks for that, I can't seem to find Drusilla in any census after 1861, so cannot confirm who her husband was, if any........she may not have married at all......I also cannot find a death for her.........Del...

I have spent hours looking at this and trying to make sense of it, I think -
Edward Hunt bapt. 25/9/1799 Aslackby son of Benjamin & Eleanor Hunt married Eleanor Parker 1/1/1824 - Edward died 10/1/1835.

Benjamin is born a month after the death of his father on 15/2/1835
Not sure Eleanor is Drusilla's mother as she was born after the death of Edward Hunt and she is getting on a bit.
Mary Hunt born 1828 has at least 3 known illegitimate children and is on the 1861 census at Ellis Row Linc.
Mary Hunt single 33 chairwoman born Pointon Lincs
William 11 ( prob one shown as son with Eleanor in 1851) born Hough

Mary Jane 3 Grantham
Francis is on the 1891 census in Yorkshire with single sister Mary Jane Hunt as Francis Marshall widow.

Eleanor on the 1861 census is directly under the entry for son William Hunt and his family.

Perhaps the way forward would be to start with the birth certificate of Drusilla born 1843 Grantham.

Just a thought...I have a Lucilla Hunt from Oldern on Trent Parents from Garthorpe & Wintringham and she is sometimes listed as "Cilla" on census returns.

Not sure Eleanor is Drusilla's mother as she was born after the death of Edward Hunt and she is getting on a bit.
Baptism register is a good place to look. :)
It says Drusilla is daughter of Eleanor HUNT , Widow (May 1st 1843)

I see Thomas BISHELL at Caythorpe just a mile from Hough in 1861.
I see him at Caythorpe in 1881, apparently a widower.
See the Caythorpe burial register (top left) 17 Sept 1867, Drusilla BISHELL aged 24 - one of about a dozen villagers dying of "Fever" around that time. :(

I see an Elizabeth BISHELL (6) with her grandmother in 1871. If she was Dru's daughter, I can't see a baptism.
