Malcolm Connolly, Derrykeighan, Rasharkin was listed as the father of the groom Robert Connolly who married Sarah Quigley in 1848 Co Donegal. Sarah was the daughter of William Quigley of Elaghbeg Co Donegal.
Can anyone help me with details for Malcolm Connolly please? Thanks, Dinny.

Thanks for your reply and advice. Went to the site and this was not the man although I'm pretty sure he is related. The time factor is out (b.1873 d. 1918), my man would probably have been b. c. 1825 to 1835 as Robert was the father of my g/grandfather b. c. 1850.
The Malcolm Connolly/Conolly I found on the site may have been a grandson of the man I am looking for. I'm not having that much luck. Thanks again. Regards - Dinny.

Inteernet searches for 'malcolm connoly & rasharkin' bring up lots of hits but I'm puzzled by "Derrykeighan Rasharkin" in the title of this thread.
Derrykeighan is about 7/8 miles north of Ballymoney but Rasharkin is about 8 miles in the opposite direction :-\

I'm interested in Connollys from north Antrim; Robert is an important name in my line of Presbyterian Connollys from Kilraughts. Obviously they would have been Catholic at some point, but not for a long time; maybe early 18th century? or before?? I am curious about this catholic family, not too far away in Rasharkin, using the name Robert, which nowadays would be regarded as quite a Protestant name, I would say? Is there a connection??
