Zebulun Newington & Frances Burges/Burgess married [as per Family Search] 06 Feb 1706 at Ticehurst, Sussex which may or may not be the brides parish.
Zebulun & Frances children, all baptised at Ticehurst are:
Joseph: 1707
John: 1709
Zebulun: 1711
Benjamin: 1712
Frances: 1714
Samuel: 1717
Frances: 1719
I am hoping someone with better research skills than I can locate the baptisms of Zebulan and Frances senior please. ???

I don't have access to all my records at the moment but there is an interesting note against one of the baptisms above that says father is "Mr jun". That could imply there is an older Zebulun around.
In the early 1600s there are children of Zebulun Newington being baptised in Burwash so maybe widen the search a bit. It also says the surname is Newton in the BTs.

There are others too. Have you looked for wills? They do seem to be affluent.

There are some interesting wills on the National Archives site.

Hello Sillgen,
Very good idea and thank you. :)
That will help enormously in keeping track of the lines.
A small query: what does "It also says the surname is Newton in the BTs." mean specifically BTs? Maybe birth transcripts??

Copies of the register sent to the Bishop so there are often slight differences. Depends how carefully they were done.
-
OK :)
-
BT = Bishops Transcript which is the document described by sillgen. Should be a copy of the actual register but there are sometimes differences between the two which is why the original should always be checked if possible.

Good point Pheno and thanks for the clarification on BT.

Hi Westy, I think I have to make a few more posts before I'm able to receive a PM. There is a baptism from the SFHG for a Frances Burgisse on the 8 March 1675/76, in Ticehurst, parents Thomas & Grace. This is the only baptism from that time I could see that would match. Mike
