just want to pick your brains on this one
Ezra GRAVES b 1867 cambridge
father James mother Harriett and 13 kids in the family
1871 census says son 1881 says daughter
couldnt find a marriage to try and work out if she is a he or a she
is it a boys name ???? i had her him as a him

It's a male Biblical name, so my assumption would be a son.

I agree that Ezra is a boy's name. Is Ezra still around in 1891 so you can double check?
Or .... born male, later deciding to live as female? Or is that too 'progressive' for 1881?
You could always purchase Ezra's birth certificate ...

found him a male was Baptist in 1871
