I wonder if you have any advice about using Rootschat on my iPad.
Every time I visit Rootschat I have to log in. Despite having ticked Stay Logged In.
Thanks
Caroline

Thank you for the answer, Ringrose. I've looked at your post and the answers. I've tried enabling various things on Safari which looked as though they might be useful but still had to log on to reply to you. Its all a mystery to me and its very frustrating.

I don't know if this will help but I very rarely have to log in. Only occasionally after i have cleared Safari history. I have the site saved as a favourite and always access it via that. I have the " keep me logged in " box checked.

Thank you Mumjo. I've done those things too ...

I've been logged into Rootschat on my iPad for years.
-
Another thought - do you use the mobile site for Rootschat or the full one?
I am logged into the full one so it looks the same as on the PC.
I don't see that it should make a difference but you never know! :D

I thought the mobile version had been discontinued quite some time ago.

I am using the one that looks the same as on the PC.

It seems it's just something I will have to live with. A small inconvenience!

This happens bcause the ipad is wiping your Cookie settings after each session.
If you go to "Settings" (The icon looks like a set of cogwheels)
Scroll down to Safari and on the right hand side you should see under "Privacy & Security"
Block Cookies -
Tap on this and a further menu opens which allows you to select settings for the ipad to deal with Cookies . Tap on the setting you want and a blue tick should appear against it.
(either of the settings Allow from current website only & Allow from Websites I Visit should help - the first of these is only of use if you only want it to remember one website setting the second is more general and allows Cookies from all the web sites you visit)

Thank you for taking the trouble to explain that.

Solidarity! ;D

Hmmm!
I needed to log in again recently but but that was only because I upgraded the OS. Everything is back to normal now. Bet it's something to do with your Safari settings.

Yes it probably is. I've turned things on that were off and vice versa to no avail.
