Title: Runnalls family of St. Brewards
Post by: cdaikoff on Friday 26 February 16 23:42 GMT (UK)
Hi, I'm looking for information on the Runnalls family of St. Brewards.

My ancestor is John Runnalls b 1809 to John and Jane.
I believe his siblings are 1807 William, 1811 Archelaus, 1816 Ann, 1818 Elizabeth, 1821 Thomas, 1823 Susanna, 1827 Philippa.
I believe his mother may be Jane Hosken b 1783 whose parents were Archelaus Hosken and Phillipa.

Any incite on this family is appreciated.

Try Cornwall-OPC-Database (.org.uk).

Searching Baptisms, for Runnalls (and variants), parents Jane & John, for the years 1800 to 1830, turns up 11 baptisms.
9 in St Breward, 2 in Paul.

There is also this baptism:
11 July 1813 at St Breward
Mary Runals, daughter of John (a carpenter) and Jane of St Breward

 :) Hi KGarrard,

While my reply to your post is belated, I haven't been on this site in years, I can provide a little assistance specific to Mary Runnalls bapt. July 11, 1813. If you log on to familysearch.org go to Search then Records and enter Mary Runnalls birthplace St. Brewards, Cornwall, England birthyear 1813 restrict records to England then click on search. Mary is at the top of the list, click on the right hand side under View then click below the the left hand icon for family tree (next to the page to right) then click on Mary Runnalls in blue lettering it will have the ref. M7ST-2RF. From there scroll down to her parents and click on her father John Runnalls. From there you can go right back to John Reignolds born 1685. Good Luck/ Regards David Runnalls

Hi
I see you are wondering about Archeleus Runnalls in your family.  He is my husband--Thurstan Runnalls's Great Grand Father. WE live in BLisland as ARcheleus bought Treswigger, Blisland, he was a farmer, but a cousin sold Treswigger a number of years ago & my Father in-law bought Tregenna Farm Blisland in 1928 which is still in the family.
                           Cheers Shirley Runnalls

Hi, my ancestor is also John Runnalls born 1805 Lanteglos by Camelford. I believe that his parents were Jane Hawken born c 1777 and John Runnalls c 1777 but cannot find any baptism record for John around 1805. Census records checked would make his year of birth 1804/1805 and show that he was born in Lanteglos by Camelford. The family lived in St Breward Cornwall and I have found a baptism record in 1809 St Breward for a John Runnalls Son of John and Jane but this is a few years after his birth so am not sure that it's for the same John Runnalls. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks  :)
