Title: Baptism Look up please for John Cooper circa 1610

John Cooper married Alice Tanne 14 May 1638 in Hingham, his father is stated as being Robert Cooper however I don't seem to be able to find a baptism for him, any ideas out there?!

From transcription of Higham on Norfolk Family History Society
Robert Cowper married Awdrie  Wright 5 February 1604/5.
children
Thomas baptized 1606
Henry bap 1612
Elizabeth 1616.

There is no mention of the condition of the register, Thomas appears to be the eldest, so your Robert has to be between 1606 and 1616 anything after that he would not have finished an apprenticeship and been able to marry under age 21.

Might be a chance that Robert and Awdrie went to another parish for a while between 1606 and 1612 and one or more children born/baptised there.

It might pay to check whether the Norfolk Family History Society's transcripts were taken from the actual PRs or from Bishop's Transcripts of the PRs, I have seen cases where a follow up search of the actual PRs reveals that some pages of BTs are missing.

NFHS transcription of Hingham is from the Parish Register.
So you could check AT's and BT's to see if any additional information survived in those records.
