Title: Brick Wall - John Gibson & Sarah Capondale nee Witherington

Before I put this aside as a brick wall, can anyone help with finding John Gibson b1762 Oakham, the son of William Gibson & Elizabeth (Smith)?  This is what I have so far:

Siblings (all traced): Thomas 1765, Elizabeth 1770 (died 1771), William 1772, all Oakham, plus Abraham 1775 & Elizabeth 1779 Whissendine.

Sarah Witherington married John Capondale 1777 in Whissendine.  Both OTP, although I cannot find a baptism for Sarah. 
John Capondale was buried 1 Sep 1781, shortly after the baptism of their son, also John, on 28 June 1781.
John Gibson married widow Sarah Capondale 1784 in Whissendine.  Both OTP

I can find no trace of John & Sarah Gibson after their marriage, although John Capondale Jr appears to remain in Whissendine, marrying first Sarah Harris in 1806 and then widow Ann Stanhope in 1821.

If John & Sarah Gibson had children they are likely to have been named John, Elizabeth, William & Mary, as all four siblings gave their children these names.  Abraham is also a possible.

I found Sarah Gibson b 1781 (aged 60) with William Gibson b 1766 (age 75) ?father in law? and Ann(1833) aged 8 all in Whissendine 1841.

There is also a Sarah Gibson wid b 1775 in 1851 in Whissendine with g/children John 1823 and Ann 1829.
These two look very possible for Sarah and suggest John had died bef 1851 and possibly bef 1841.

I also found a death of John Gibson 13/3/1825 aged 51 Oakham - not quite right datewise.

Thanks for that, I will certainly look into it further but quickly checking my notes I think that might be Sarah Guess, the wife of John's brother, William, who died in 1850. 

The John Gibson in Oakham is a different John unfortunately.  His parents were William Gibson, a grocer, & Sarah Haworth.  A few on-line trees have mixed up the two families but so far I haven't been able to find a connection.

There is a baptism in Oakham for John
6th October 1762 John Gibson son of William & Elizabeth in notes it says   "not in BT'S"
And marriage at Oakham
6 Nov 1761
William Gibson of Oakham ... brickmaker
          &
Elizabeth Smith of Oakham
Sp Banns.

The marriage in Whissendine for John to Sarah looks correct. And Sarah marriage to John Capendale has no further information.
John's burial 1781,  so marriages all fit in ok.
I can't see a baptism for Sarah either so presume she came from elsewhere?
