Hello.
Would there be anyone that could shed light on this chap who is my great great great greatgrandfather. Dates: circa latter half of 18th century. Wife and mother of his children, Catherine Munro. One known son is William McPherson who left Sutherland - parish could have been Creich or Dornoch, and moved to Edinburgh, where he was a 'Jailer' and later became the deputy governor of The Bridewell Prison. He died in 1857. I have a fair bit on his 2 wives and their children.
