Title: MAGILL birth
Post by: garydevine on Monday 04 April 16 23:55 BST (UK)
Hi,

I was wondering if someone can help me find a birth for a James MaGill parents being James MaGill and Margaret Rodgers. Possibly born in Larne or Cairncastle around 1883. Unable to find him on the 1901 and 1911 census records in Ireland but managed to find the rest of his family still living in Cairncastle. he married Catherine Rooney in 1913 in Glasgow, he was a marine engineer and his living address was living on board the SS Coral

there is a Royal navy service record for that name b Cairncastle in 1882...also 2 merchant navy records. The birthdate of 12th August on the navy record matches one of the Merchant navy records. No family information given on any of the records. One of the the merchant navy records has his photo.
