Is there a Warrington in Worcs?
I am trying to trace a Thomas Cale in my wife's tree and he is in Shrawley in 1841.
Born about 1799
A possible is on the 1861 census in Shrawley b 1794 and born in Warrington, Worcs
Any ideas?

There isn't a Warrington in Worcestershire and looking at the image it is clearly written!
In 1871 there is a Thomas Cale b 1792 Warenton, Worcestershire living in Shrawley with son Thomas Cale b 1819 Shrawley and his wife Ruth

Found another reference to Warrenton being Warndon now part of Worcester - "the inhabitants of Warrenton (Warndon) Henlipe(Hindlip) and Taladine (Tolladine)"

Hi stonechat,
Shrawley, Martley, Blackpole, Warndon, Hallow - all round about the same area. Shrawley & Hallow are the other side of the river from the others. None are that far from Worcester itself.
Think Warndon is now a very large and confusing housing estate.
