Thank you for that swift reply. I am exploring all avenues as Elizabeth Collie, unmarried, gave birth to John Reid 1792 Kincardine o'Neil, father John Reid, and the parish records stated they were married, but in fact they were not, because when John Reid(1792) died in 1876, at the bottom of his death cert was stated "illegitimate". I believe John Reid the father married in Kincardine o'neil in 1798 and then moved away, but have never been able to establish much about Elizabeth Collie. But thanks for that.

It appears to be on ScotlandsPeople as I put that exact date for Durris parish for Elizabeth Collie and it came up with one result.
You could search for all Collie deaths in Kincardine parish records from 1 Jan 1810 to 31 Dec 1854 and get exactly 25 hits (it costs 1 credit to view one page with a max of 25 per page) and a further 5 credits to view the particular entry.

Thank you.

I always try to choose dates that give me hits in multiples of 25 on ScotlandsPeople.
ScotlandsPeople may well have a clientele that is more canny and economical with their searches than other genealogy sites. ;)
If you do get the image for the parish record of Elizabeth Collie's death and it has a Moir, Marr, Mowat or Cockie on the page would you mind letting me know?

Thank you. Its more likely that I will never find out what happened to Elizabeth Collie, Her son John Reid(1792) was a tailor and married in 1815 in Banchory Ternan, so I have always assumed she was perhaps nearby. He knew his father and mother as it is on his death cert and there is no other name to indicate that she ever married.

So Elizabeth in Durris possibly isn't your Elizabeth?

Not really sure but Durris isn't far from Banchory Ternan. Not sure if the parish records would actually give persons age at date of death, or any other information. Another mystery for me.
